9 Great Baby’s Sleep Products For The First Year

Everything I Used the First Year: Sleep

This week I will share about everything I used the first year for baby’s sleep. It’s been a while since I have posted. If you follow me on Instagram you saw in my stories that it has been a crazy past few weeks for me and my family. My family is my number one priority in life so because of that, my blog and social media have been put on the back burner. But, now things have seemed to settle down a bit and getting figured out so I am ready to shift my focus back to creating content for you. Following weeks I will be sharing a new series about everything I used the first year.

I’m a sucker for products that make my life easier.

I love to browse Amazon and add products I want or need to list. My favorite kind of products are ones that make life with a baby easier. I have been working on this series for a while now really thinking about everything I used during the first year. I have put together a list of every single product I used during the first year of Cora’s life.

Today I will be sharing all the products I used for baby’s sleep the first year.

In the next few weeks, I will share products for feeding, clothing, general, and hygiene. Be sure to subscribe to my email list to get notified about my new posts.

Everything I Used The First Year

pack n play for baby's sleep

A pack n play is a must-have for baby’s sleeping at or away from home! Cora slept in a pack n play in our room for the first 7 months of her life. It is also needed for when you travel. I have also used it as a safe play area to put Cora in while I make dinner.

crib for baby's sleep

You don’t need a crib, but it is definitely nice to have when the baby’s sleeping at home. The one I have is very similar to this one. I like that it can be converted into a toddler bed once she gets old enough for it.

mattress for baby's sleep

You will also need a mattress if you choose to do a crib. This mattress is most similar to the one that I have for my baby’s sleep. I have one that has both an infant and toddler size.

Wubanub for baby's sleep

I really love the Wubanub that I used for my baby’s sleeping or nap time. It was so easy to find her binky when she threw it. And she loves the animal that is attached to it. Some people don’t like them, but I loved them. It made it easy for me to keep track of it.

Lovie for comforting baby's sleep

I didn’t start using a Lovie until she was a year old. So this is something you can definitely hold off on buying until then. Cora loves hers and it is a comfort to her at night.

crib sheets for baby's sleep

I have two crib sheets. That way when one gets dirty I have another one to replace it with. I like gray because it can be used for both a boy and a girl.

swaddle for baby's sleep

This is my favorite swaddle ever to exist! It fits preemie to 9 months. The only swaddle that didn’t drown on my daughter. During my baby’s sleep time she would look so cute and comfy in this.

sleep sack

I am a huge fan of sleep sacks! Once Cora started to roll over I put her into sleep sacks. She hasn’t tried to crawl out of her crib or take her clothes off in bed. This one I use for the summertime and I have a fleece one that I use for the winter. I am sure it would help bring comfort to your baby’s sleep as well.

white noise machine for baby's sleep

This is the best white noise machine EVER! I love it so much. If you haven’t jumped on the white noise train for nighttime baby’s sleep, you need to get on it. For Cora’s first 7 months of life, we lived in a 400 sqft one bedroom. It was super tight quarters. This white noise machine made it possible for Cora to go to sleep at 7 pm and for us to get ready for bed at around 9 pm.

Classes

I also took the Taking Cara Babies Newborn class. (Reminder: I am an affiliate with Taking Cara Babies, so I get a small commission if you purchase one of her courses) I got this as a gift at my baby shower. It was the greatest gift I was ever given. The class taught me so much about baby’s sleep habits. Cora learned to sleep through the night at 7 months, even as a preemie. I still use so many of her tips and tricks today. Cara has a lot of free resources on her blog and her Instagram.
