Everything You Need During Baby’s First Year: 5 Great General Essential

This is the fifth post of my new series of Everything You Need During Baby’s First Year. My last post was published a few weeks ago and it was all about the products I used for clothing & hygiene during the baby’s first year.  For all the products I used in the baby’s first year for feeding click here. For all the toys and books I used during the baby’s first year, click here to read. If you missed my first post about all the products I used during the baby’s first year for sleep you can click here to read.

I’m a sucker for products that make my life easier.

I love to browse Amazon and add products I want or need to list. My favorite kind of products are ones that make life with a baby easier. I have been working on this series for a while now really thinking about everything I used during the first year. I have put together a list of every single product I used during the first year of Cora’s life.

Today I will be sharing all the products I used during baby’s first year.

During the next coming weeks, I have so many great blog posts planned. One of the posts I will be sharing is about my experience with Taking Cara Babies. Be sure to subscribe to my email list to get notified about my new posts.

FAQ:

The baby’s first year can be daunting. It is not something that can be taken lightly. You are a parent and guardian to a baby that is so fragile in a world that is constantly moving. Your baby learns to eat, drink, and watch what you are doing so it can mimic you. That is why having the tools to make your job easier as a parent is important. That is why I wrote this series of posts, because I want you to succeed as a parent like I did.

Everything I Used for General

I started with a typical infant car seat. But before Cora turned a year old she grew out of it in length (which is amazing to me because she was, barely big enough to fit in it when we took her home from the NICU). This car seat fits well in our small car and it’ll fit her until she is out of car seats.

I LOVE these childproof locks. I have the cabinets locked with this where my cleaning supplies are and other cabinets I do not want Cora to get into. You can’t tell that I have baby-proofed my kitchen and I love that.

This newborn wrap was my saving grace! Cora is so snuggly and some days I just wanted to be able to go outside and walk. The times she would only nap on me, I would put this on so I could do other stuff around the house.

I went through several of these before I found this one. The other ones I tried were poorly made and broke after only a few weeks. I like being able to see my baby and what she was doing while I was driving. I don’t find it distracting and it helps me out.
